Mac OS X - Disappointing for this switcher
So, I bought a Macbook Pro, the new Santa Rosa one with 2.4GHz, 160Gb 7200RPM and a matte screen. Delivery was slow, about 3 weeks so I’m guessing there’s high demand (or production issues). Anyways, I needed wanted a new machine because my one year old Acer was starting to show signs of fatigue in […]
Thursday trades
Things were looking very bullish early on Thursday day so I was looking long quite aggressively. I got into these stocks: AVCI, JNPR, CBST, IGT and IBM. Alas after about 45-60min they were all starting to show signs of distress and demise :-) I managed to get a bit out of AVCI so the end […]
Wednesday trades
Quite a tricky and choppy day. It started nicely with everything getting sold off so I was focusing on short. Half way through the day it all reversed. Two trades stopped out almost immediately - ITWO and PPDI. ITWO had a -0.5R slippage on exit, too low volume to really get in and out safely. […]
Tuesday trades
More of the same stuff like yesterday. I traded NVLS, CIB, ROH and PPP. Unfortunately I was too aggressive on stops this time and didn’t really benefit from NVLS’s move. PPP went blah but CIB and ROH worked sufficiently to be able to close with P&L of +4R.
Monday trades
Kind of choppy day and not many movers. Understandable after the last few days action. I traded BRLC, ENT and IMMR. Pity IB didn’t FRPT available for shorting. End result is +0.8R.
Save TWS Settings
A nice new feature has just been included in the latest release of IB’s TWS. I’ve always wanted to find out how to backup my settings. So far I’ve just backedup the whole directory. There is now an option (not activated by default) to save your settings into IB’s server so it’s always available no […]
Friday trades and some observations
I was really struggling last night with tiredness. It felt like my brain was working at less than 50% capacity. I’m not sure why since I have not slept less than usual but I felt like I was in a sleep deprivation experiment and my actions were mechanic and on automatic pilot without much thinking. […]
