Tour de France cyclists’ hearts bigger than normal - CNN.com
Researchers who examined the hearts of former Tour bikers found that the athletes’ hearts were from 20 to 40 percent larger than average, said Dr. Francois Carre of the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Rennes, France.

.Scientists have long noticed the phenomenon of the “athlete’s heart.” Athletes who train hard in aerobic sports, such as cycling, running or swimming, tend to have a bigger heart that pumps more blood throughout the body.
I hate doing cardio. I would much rather do weights. I find cardio exhausting and draining while lifting weights (intense lifting, not lift - look at the mirror - lift) invigorates and makes me feel great for hours. Nevertheless, now that I have more time and get better sleep I started doing swimming (HIIT style) as an overall workout. I’ll probably add gym sessions after I’ve moved to Bangkok as the gym in the condo there is far better than what I get here.
