It’s been volatile, choppy and overall quite frustrating on my dot in the trading world. This month has seen the least movement in my P&L with mostly my broker making money. This morning I had one short stop out for -0.9R and I have one short position which isn’t going anywhere, not surprisingly, and I fully expect to get stopped out of by one of those wild moves.
I’m off to Singapore for about a week so will be away from my PC and trading. I have a feeling I won’t miss too much but then again I might have slogged through the doldrums just to see the real action pass me by the next 6-7 sessions. In any case I’m going to have some fun enjoying the warm weather, great food, drinks and company of friends back (at my second) home. A much more inviting experience than Wellington’s single digit (celsius) temperature and fish & chips.

Enjoy the trip. FWIW, I think you’re leaving at a great time. Regardless, the market will always be here producing plenty of “dummy spots”.
I hope your trip is relaxing! Lots of people share your pain this month. It’s weird that, supposedly all this volatility helps day traders, but a lot of us weren’t (and still aren’t!) set up to profit from such a choppy environment. To me, the markets appear to be in some sort of weird transition state. Walking away for a week is probably the best thing to do!
Eyal, I’ve been thinking of taking some time off too. Have fun :)
hi Eyal,
Welcome to Singapore! :)
I know just how you feel, bro. Time for a break.
Have a nice time off.
Thanks all.
Gav - I’m sure I’ll be back in Sg at some point, it is the best place to live in in Asia in my opinion. Would be cool to catch up when I’m there..
