Commissions, again

I received IB’s February monthly statement a couple of days ago. Returns have been really nice in Feb, record R’s and $ surpassed the record set in October last year. but what really caught my eye was that I paid a tad over $1,000 in commissions! I think IB should give out some freebies, like an umbrella which says something like “I help feed IB and Wall Street” ;-)
