Friday trades

The market popped in the morning which makes things a bit tricky. Anyway I was looking long of course and had a few candidates, I entered LEND, ETFC and OTEX. I had a problem with updating stop orders today and kept getting a message from IB as if I’m trying to short something which was weird, not sure if it was on my end or whatever. Anyway that led a bit of a gefuffle with OTEX and not getting stopped out where I wanted, cost a few cents slippage. The other 2 went ok-ish. End result is +2.8R which isn’t great but not too bad.

I’m quite tired but won’t be able to go to sleep today since I’m catching a flight in about 2 hours time. I’ll sleep tomorrow instead :-) Gotta go shower and head out shortly. I’ll be back Monday.

P.S. today was my last day at the office, felt like my last day at ANY office. So I’m now on my own, let the game begin.

i was watching this show called human weapon…the premise of the show is that two guys travel the world learning different fighting styles…then after a brief training period, they go up against one of the masters of that art

the episode i just finished watching was on krav maga…from what they say every citizen of israel is trained in this art when they serve in the military…i know u spent your time as most israelies

the art was very brutal, but highly practical for real combat…i loved it

i said all that to say this…if u know that, then you are one BAD BITCH!

    gl with the new venture

btw, from what i saw some of it is very similar to silat which is also brutal, and practical

All the best with the new chapter of your life :-) I am sure you will have the time of your life.

John: I hate to bust the myth, but you shouldn’t expect that the average Israeli be skilled in Krav Maga, as there is very little emphasis on it in the military training of most. It’s mostly guns these days ;-)

if you can make a ‘not so great’ 2.8R every day… you’re set. Good luck and I think you made the right decision.

Hey John, yes it’s true, we’re mostly very dangerous when practicing krav maga, alas the danger would be primarily to ourselves ;-) As Carlton said, it’s only very few special units that train in this.

Thanks, Carlton. I certainly hope so.

oonr7 - sure I can make the 2.8R, the difficulty I’m having is with the ‘every day’ part ;-) I think it’s the right decision too, the challenge now will be how well I go about making the most out of getting myself onto that path.
