  • There are obviously some teachers who can trade and some who can't. I think there's no dispute on that. So how can a newbie or just the general public know whether someone can really walk the talk? I know of no other way but seeing proof of audited results. As one can guess those are quite rare, to put things mildly.

  • via maoxian. hmm.. a nokia? their phones are indeed usually dull and clunky. but I haven't had a nokia in many years. I wonder how it compares with the Samsung Omina i900. My Samsung D900 is excellent, one of the most reliable piences of electronics I have and after almost 2 years not a single sign of wear.

  • "Even though there have been several studies demonstrating that experts in a subject area are better at remembering information relevant to their field of expertise, this knowledge can also lead them astray. The classic expert-novice study by Chase and Simon in 1973 pitted experts against novices remembering the arrangement of chess pieces on the board. When the pieces were arranged in an actual position arrived at during real game-play, the experts were much better than the novices. But when the pieces were randomly arranged, experts did no better than novices. More recent work has found that although doctors are better than interns at making medical diagnoses, the experts don't remember the details of each case as well as the interns."
I have a feeling of deja vu reading this, I think I've across this before(?). Anyway always interesting to read material from this site.
