I had internet installed, thankfully prior to the Easter/Passover holiday, and even dug out my xbox and cables from the boxes. I’ve not played my xbox for quite some time as my xbox got ’stuck’ in Singapore for a while but now I’ve got it hooked up. Anyway I put in my favourite first-person-shooter game (Star Wars) and I was immediately ‘transported’ back to end of 2004.. that was the time I first got seriously interested in day trading while I was in (ahem) between jobs back in Singapore. I remember spending most of my time researching trading, reading trading books, trading blogs, back-testing systems, planning trades, reviewing trades, reviewing charting applications, reviewing and choosing brokers, trying out all kinds of alert services etc. etc. And in between all that madness and crazy shotgun approach to learning as much as I could I would take occasional breaks from the monitor and the books.. to play the xbox. And so while I was digesting what I read I was blasting away rebels, robots and everything else that moved. I would complete a level and go back read some more, return to the game, complete a couple of levels and then go prepare for the trading day and so on and so forth for about 5 months. Anyways, just hearing the music as I put in the DVD into the console brought back all those flashbacks with a mix of pleasant and unpleasant memories. Maybe it’s like a circle closing now, or maybe not :)
