Quote of the day from a book I started last year and only just had time to get back to, The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafón:

“Look, Daniel. Destiny is usually around the corner. Like a thief, like a hooker, or a lottery vendor: its three most common personifications. But what destiny does not do is home visits. You have to go for it.”

    eyal: that’s an interesting analogy, but thieves and hookers both make home visits!
