A very interesting interview in Baron’s is featured at Maoxian.com. I agree with it as well having seen it happening first hand in Singapore and Hong Kong and even in less advanced economies in Asia, particularily that of the Philippines. The same situation can also be seen in Israel, especially over the last decade or so. The level of consumerism here is unbelieveable now as compared to 10 years ago when I was living here.
