Yesterday was a dull day again with a long in BMY which resulted in -1R. On top of that, the position was stopped out at around 3:50pm so the MOC sell order wasn’t auto-cancelled (it can’t be cancelled from 3:45 onwards) so it fired and got me into a short position. I managed to close it off today in a lucky price of 1 cent above the low of the day which made yesterday BMY an overall -0.8R instead of -1R. Today looked like there would be a few opportunities so I was watching more closely, I ended with long JBL and short YRCW and +2.2R and BE respectively.
BMW
I love driving my BMW, it’s kind of old now but still great fun to drive. 2 days ago I had an opportunity to drive the new 120i (2.0L) hatchback. It’s a cute looking car and I was quite looking forward to it. I figured with a smaller, lighter body and a Tiptronic 2.0L engine it should be very enjoyable. Alas I was a bit disappointed, it totally lacked the kick I get from my older 318i even though my car has a smaller and much older engine on a larger heavier body. I suspect it might be related to all the electronic stuff that goes into the newer cars these days. The tiptronic thing and auto gear box over-tried to guess what I needed out of it which resulted in kind of an anemic driving experience. To be frank I only tried driving it in town, I’m sure that in an open road it would leave my 318i behind but I usually drive in town or the suburbs which offer lots of nice hilly scenic drives around curves and not too many highways (this is New Zealand afterall).
