Trading Books

Looking for a trading book to read? Check out my list of recommended day trading books and also this interesting compilation by Dave of Books Recommended by Successful Traders. So what’s so special about another list of trading books? Amazon has these by the dozen right? Well the interesting part is that this is a list by traders and individuals who (by and large) know what they are doing. Some of these books shaped the bahaviour, trading style and methods of people who are actually trading day in and day out and making a living off of it.

As for the list itself, I’m not surprised to see at the top of it Van Tharp’s Trade Your Way to Financial Freedom which is a must read. Also note that some of the interviews were done quite some time ago so some very good books which were only recently published appear lower than the other older books. One good example for that is Brett Steenbarger’s Enhancing Trader’s Performance which is excellent.

I also liked Way of the Turtle by Curtis Faith, on trend following. I guess it doesn’t really apply to day-trading though!

Hi EC, I haven’t had a chance to read that but I heard good things about it.
