So what’s more expensive than oil? Well, lots apparently, and at the top of this list is.. HP printer ink.

It’s curious, isn’t it, that oil - an irreplaceable, non-renewable, limited substance upon which so much of our society depends - is still just about the cheapest liquid that you can buy, even after this price rise. Cheaper even than milk.

It’s a good thing you didn’t add some perfumes to that list or we wouldn’t even be able to see the last six bars :)

    Wow, that’s unbelievable!

What a scam ! They sell you the printer for a really cheap price because they know they will rip you off on the ink for the next x years.
    Printer : 200$. Ink : 150$ !

So the first question you should ask when shopping for a new printer is : how much does it cost to replace the ink ?

Tyro - good point about the perfume, thankfully most of us don’t need to use perfume at same quantity as oil ;-)

estocastica - thanks for visiting. I enjoy your blog.

NoGreedNoFear - yeah the official (convenient) excuse for this is that the head printer technology is built into the ink cartridge.. I say it’s best not to print at all if one can avoid it, saves the trees too :)
