Windows Media Player 11

After being leaked over p2p Windows Media Player 11 Beta is now available for download from Microsoft. I’ve just installed it and it’s looking really sharp. For the first time that I can remember a Microsoft product looks better than the Apple equivalent - iTunes. It’s running a little slow on my old laptop (P4M 1.4MHz with 1Gb RAM) but that’s not surprising given the warnings we’ve been hearing about Vista and the kind of hardware you’d need to run it properly.

Download from here.

P.S. I’ve not come across any issues yet with this Beta version but you might still want to make sure the System Recovery option of Windows is switched on in case you needed to roll back to the old version.

Have you tried Gom Player? Korean media player. Very nice.

I have not tried it. Is it fully in English? My Korean starts and more or less ends with Gamsa hamnida ;)

Nice player. It doesn’t seem to have the Media Library features though? After I installed it it notified me there’s a new version so naturally I (had to) install it :) Overall looking like good quality app. Much faster than the Windows Media Player. Unfortunately I can’t enjoy the content showing on the right. Looks like quite a few nice new movies have come out in Korea.
