Yearly(?) Highs and Lows

Scanning for yearly highs and lows seems to be more complicated than I thought. I’m cross checking 3 sources: QCharts, Trade-Ideas and StockFetcher and I’m getting some different stocks in each of these lists. At first I thought it was my average daily volume settings which is getting calculated differently, but I removed that and it’s still not showing identical lists. Maybe it’s the definition of a year - 365 days vs. 52 weeks vs. calendar year.. hmm..

Many lists are based on new “closing” highs … that might explain the difference.

Interesting. I just checked it. The results on SF are indeed different for scanning on: close, low/high and price. But using Price and Trade-Ideas intraday price which should be the same still results in different lists. Will try to monitor it in real time to see if QChart is handling those hotlists in slightly different way. I suspect it’s not going to match for some data reasons or differences in defining new yearly highs.
